SAPREF is engaged in a process of change which will result
in a refinery with a truly world class performance. The
initiatives supporting that change are many-fold but there
are two which run like golden threads through every aspect
of the change. The first is the programme "Investment
in Excellence" which has touched all SAPREF people
and which is transforming the way we work individually
and in teams. The second is our "Business Excellence"
programme which will result in a set of Management Systems
bringing a harmony and structure to everything we do.
Aligning SAPREF
sets out the purpose, the values, key business processes
and vision which were formulated with input from a broad
spectrum of
SAPREF people and towards which all of Team SAPREF strive.
This is the
highest level document in the SAPREF Business management
system (Bms).
In true IIE form, the vision statements
have been written in the present
tense, or "affirmation style". We strongly believe
that we, as individuals and
as a team, can invent our future. We have decided how
we want the future
to be and use these affirmations with their measures*
to remind ourselves
of the future state, thus committing and conditioning
ourselves for success.
Following the setting of these affirmations, departments
or sections within
SAPREF have created their own visions supported by annual
objectives.
These objectives are periodically reviewed to ensure that
