Question 1: I need some information regarding a street children's project that was initiated by SAPREF some time ago. I'm not too sure of the details but I was wondering if you could give me some background info into the project and also if it is still running. If it is in fact stil running, would you be able to provide with the usual info regarding the project as well as some statistics with regard to numbers of street kids.

SAPREF's response: In 2000 a Holland-based NGO called Boumanhuis approached SAPREF for assistance with a street children project that they wanted to get off the ground in Durban. SAPREF responded by hosting a cocktail evening and invited captains of industry in Durban to introduce them to the NGO and facilitate prospective sponsorship opportunities. This was as far as our involvement in the project went. SAPREF never really became involved the project.
